It's a good idea to set up a comfortable, accessible workstation. A kitchen or dining room table is a good place to start. Place blanket or pad on the table to protect it from scratches.
Assembling the moving box:
1.
Fold the top flaps of the box down, using the small tabs to hold these flaps along the box sides.
2.
Next, Square up the box
3.
Then, flip over box and tape shut the bottom flaps with strips of tape. Always use tape -- do not interlock the bottom or top flaps as this will not provide enough support.
4.
This is what the box looks llike when it is ready to be packed
5.
Break the tabs in order to seal the box.
6.
Tape the top of the box. Never interlock the tabs as this will weaken the box.
7.
Mark the box for the room it came out of and a brief description of what is inside, like moms china. Try to mark the boxes on the top and 2 sides since once the boxes are stacked there is no way to see what is marked on the box.
Boxes that contain fragile items should be marked with arrows on the side or the words "Top Load Only", indicating that the box will remain on top when stacked in the truck. These markings should be used sparingly and judiciously; if you have all top load boxes we won’t have anything on the bottom Do this only for boxes containing the most delicate items.
