Clothing and Linens
Sweaters, shirts, bed and bath linens should be packed in a medium or large moving box. Comforters, pillows and any light bulky articles can easily be packed in an extra large moving box. Use paper to line the box. Place items neatly into the boxes and never jam clothes in boxes to prevent them from becoming wrinkled.
Wrap accessories such as belts and handbags in packing paper before packing them. If you don’t have the original boxes for expensive designer shoes, wrap the in paper with their matches . Ties may be wrapped in groups of 3 or 4 in a sheet of packing paper in order to keep them neat and clean.
Hanging Clothes
Use wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. Do not overstuff as the boxes are designed for 2 and a half feet of clothes. Placing more in them will weaken the box and the box may collapse, resulting in clothes being wrinkled.
